汇丰商学院教师代表雎岚在2010级毕业典礼上的讲话
I am very honored to have the opportunity to represent all faculty members of PHBS to give this commencement speech. As stated in our school mission, we are cultivating visionary, principled, and diverse leaders for China and the world. At this moment, I just want to say, you are on your way to accomplish it. We are proud of you. Congratulations!!! Yet, it is not just an ending, it also means a new start to show your excellence in your future life!
Well, I know you cannot wait for the school party, so this speech won’t be too long, it will only focus on three questions that I believe everyone is familiar with.
#1: Who you are.
In the past three years, you have proved your intelligence, diligence, inspiration and all other innegligible strengths. You have shown you are the winners! As being a junior faculty here, I feel we actually grow up together. This is really a great feeling! Thanks to all of you! Find who you are, accurately position your role on your career path and always do the right thing!
#2: Where you come from.
Though you came from different places with the diverse background, the fact is that we had spent three years learning together. In this vast universe, isn’t it a miracle? Isn’t it something that we shall cherish about? The message I want to send here is that, no matter where you came from in the past, the thing is that we are all graduates of PHBS. Keep in mind what Dean Hai said, you can think always infinitely but do it solidly. To be the future leaders, you shall be ready for serving, showing responsibility, and contributing to the society.
#3: Where you are going to head for.
As for this, I'd like to leave you with the words from Eleanor Roosevelt: The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. To pursue and live your dreams. Being passionate to make it happen. It can only be brought about by passionate people; people willing to fight for what they believe in.
In your future life, there won’t be the so-called curriculum anymore. The future is full of uncertainties. The real life is something you are going to experience. Love what you do and be passionate about it. It is not just about making a mark, or tons of money, or having a legacy in the world. It is all about fulfilling the true expression of yourself. So, go for it! We are looking forward to seeing your future accomplishments. But, please, don’t forget to visit us and tell us your new achievements once you have a chance. In Chinese, 常回家看看。
